Jim Brown Accused in Beating

Actor and former pro football great Jim Brown was arrested this morning after he allegedly beat up his fiancee at his Hollywood Hills home, police said. Brown, 50, was booked for spousal abuse and later released on $5,000 bail.

Debra Clark, 22, suffered minor bruises under the right eye and the left arm when the former fullback star for the Cleveland Browns allegedly hit her during an argument in the home at 3 a.m. The 5-foot-1-inch woman, who locked herself in a bedroom for a time, was treated and released from Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital. Police said Clark was armed with a .44 Magnum when officers arrived, but no shots were fired.
