Bank Building Child-Care Center
Construction is under way in Monterey Park on what is believed to be the first on-site child-care center sponsored and developed by a private, non-health service company in Los Angeles County.
It is Union Bank’s $325,000 facility being built adjacent to the 420,000-square-foot Harry J. Volk Center, the bank’s new operations complex, which is nearing completion.
Expected to be completed late this year, the 9,250-square-foot child-care facility will be situated on a 20-acre site in the McCaslin Business Park. It will be staffed with college educated personnel with backgrounds in early childhood education and will be open weekdays from 7:15 a.m. to 6 p.m.
