Harry Duffield has been promoted to vice president-controller at McKellar Development of La Jolla. A certified accountant, Duffield joined McKellar in 1985 and previously served as controller with La Jolla Development Co. and McMillin Development Inc., San Diego.

Kathryn S. Rakosky has been elected director of marketing for the architectural and land planning firm of Collins & Wraight in Santa Ana. Prior to joining the firm, Rakosky was the assistant to the president of an aircraft firm and also worked in the petroleum industry.

Dan Kavert has joined J. M. Peters Co., Newport Beach, as vice president of marketing. A 20-year veteran in the industry, Kavert recently worked for the Northern California builder division of Pacific Real Estate Mortgage Corp.; he was also previously associated with Kaufman & Broad.

Larry T. Uyeda, a certified public accountant, has been promoted to executive vice president of IDM Corp., Long Beach. Uyeda joined the firm in 1981 and served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for IDM as well as IDM Development, IDM Securities and IDM Properties.

Lynn Gilbertson has been appointed to regional loan officer and vice president of Ahmanson Mortgage Co., in Irwindale. She is also a vice president of Home Savings of America, the parent firm.
