These are golden days for “The Golden Girls.”
Predicted to be a hit before it came on the air last fall, the NBC series turned out to be just that, consistently posting top ratings each week in the Nielsens.
So, now it’s on to season two for series stars Betty White, Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan and Estelle Getty, who are cast as four single women spending their golden years together in Miami.
“The Golden Girls” airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. on NBC (Channels 4, 36, 39), a time slot it will keep for the new fall schedule.
