Member of UC San Diego Faculty Killed in Spain
Cesar Grana, a member of the UC San Diego sociology department faculty since 1972, died in an automobile accident Sunday in Spain.
Grana authored two books and was working on a third about the city of Seville when he died.
He earned a doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, and had taught at the University of Chicago, UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz.
He is survived by his wife, Marigay; their two sons, and two daughters by a previous marriage. Services and burial will be in Seville.
