Israeli Army Planning Air Conditioned Tanks

TEL AVIV —
The Israeli army is to install air conditioning in tanks to make life easier for tank crews, particularly during the hot summer months, an armed forces statement said Tuesday.
Research conducted by the army’s medical corps showed that crews were 30% more alert and combat-ready in tanks fitted with air conditioning, the statement said.
