Local News in Brief : SWAT Team Enters Condo, Finds Suicide
Los Angeles police, summoned to a Sherman Oaks condominium to prevent a suicide attempt, heard a gunshot and--as a precaution--surrounded the building for three hours Friday afternoon before discovering a man had killed himself.
A police specials weapons and tactics team entered the condominium in the 14200 block of Dickens Street at 4:40 p.m. They found the victim, identified as Conrad Hansen, dead from a single gunshot wound, Sgt. Tim Day said.
Hansen was apparently despondent over business problems, Day said.
