16 Victims of Air Disaster Identified

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office Friday released the names of the first 16 positively identified victims of last Sunday’s collision between an Aeromexico DC-9 and a Piper Cherokee Archer II.

Killed on the ground:

Xochiquetzaltzin Cronkhite, 37, address unknown.

Jennifer Starr, 17, address unknown.

Airline passengers:

Tom Basye, 47, of the United States.

Frank Z. Corella Sr., 44, of La Mirada.

Mark Corella, 17, of La Mirada.

Robert Glen Crosno, 45, of La Verne.

Paul Garcia, 33, of Los Angeles.

Manuel Guzman, 59, of Hesperia.

Gloria Navis, 62, of Woodland Hills.

Diana Sicairos, 27, of Whittier.

Gabriel L. Sicairos, 10, of Whittier.

George L. Sicairos, 32, of Whittier.

George L. Sicairos, 7, of Whittier.

Stanley Stein, 55, of San Antonio, Tex.

Stefan Wong, 12, of West Covina.

Jason A. Wong, 13, of West Covina.

Coroner’s spokesman Bill Gold said the list brings the number of confirmed deaths from the coroner’s office to 19.

Earlier this week, the coroner released the names of the pilot and passengers from the private airplane that collided with the jetliner.

They were identified as William Kramer, 53; his wife, Kathleen, 51, and their daughter, Caroline, 27, of Palos Verdes Estates.

In all, 67 people are known to have been killed on board the two aircraft. Three people are known to have perished in one house destroyed by the crash and the Red Cross lists 15 other people missing from various locations on the ground.
