The Los Angeles County coroner Monday released the names of three more victims, all positively identified, of the Aug. 31 midair collision over Cerritos. The three, all passengers on the Aeromexico DC-9 that collided with a small plane, are Carman A. Berrero, 26, of Rosemead; Sherryl Ann Harmeling, 39, San Francisco, and Donald Rush, 33, Rockville Center, N.Y.

That brings to 40 the number of confirmed victims. All 67 people on the two planes and 15 people on the ground are presumed dead.

In Tuesday’s editions, The Times incorrectly identified Carmen Barrero, a 26-year-old Rosemead woman who was a passenger on the Aeromexico jet.

In Monday’s editions, The Times incorrectly reported how Howard Yackytooahnipah, a Cerritos resident who was killed on the ground, referred to himself. He wrote his name Yackus for simplification in English.
