Police Seek Suspect in Attack on Woman
Simi Valley police searched Saturday for a man who repeatedly stabbed a 36-year-old woman during what appeared to be an attempted robbery on Friday.
The victim was in satisfactory condition at Simi Valley Adventist Hospital. A police spokesman said her identity was not made public for her protection.
She was attacked just before 9 a.m. Friday at H & S Wholesale Candy and Soda, a warehouse-style outlet on West Easy Street, Sgt. Ken Tacke said.
The woman was hit on the head and stabbed, Tacke said. He said the victim did not get a good look at her assailant, who was described as a white male in his mid-20s.
