A second strong earthquake and two minor aftershocks shook southern Greece as rescue teams searched for survivors of a major quake Saturday that killed at least 18 people. The Athens Seismological Institute said the new quake measured 5.6 on the Richter scale, compared to 6.2 for Saturday’s tremor. Police said 37 people were injured by the latest quake in the already battered port city of Kalamata. Two damaged apartment buildings collapsed, but officials had warned residents not to return to their homes, and the government was providing tents to shelter as many as 10,000 people.
