John T. Isberg has been elected to the board of directors of Western Energy Resources Inc., an independent oil and gas company in Mission Viejo. Isberg has spent 49 years in the oil industry. He was with Superior Oil International in Los Angeles for four decades and was serving simultaneously as vice president of its exploration subsidiary and vice president of the parent company when he left in 1977 to join McFarland Energy Inc., in Santa Fe Springs, as vice president of exploration. Isberg retired from McFarland last year.
