With the Angels almost guaranteed a role in the American League playoffs, the ballclub and the City of Anaheim are hoping to increase the price of parking at Anaheim Stadium from $3 to $5 for postseason play.

The Anaheim City Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday on the proposed increase, which was requested by the Angels. The item is included on the council’s consent agenda, which typically is approved with little or no discussion.

The anticipated increase is estimated to generate an additional $25,000 a game for the Angels and the city.
