C. W. Cook Fetes Jublilee
C. W. Cook Inc. celebrated its diamond jubilee at a reception last Friday in the firm’s new headquarters at 11835 W. Olympic Blvd.
The event, attended by civic leaders, highlighted 75 years of continuous service in civil engineering, land surveying and land planning in the greater Los Angeles area.
Located for 58 years at 8459 Melrose Ave., the firm is reportedly the oldest land surveying-civil engineering firm in Los Angeles County. The founder of the firm was Clarance Westgate Cook, a professor of civil engineering at USC who resigned from that position to establish the C. W. Cook Surveying Co.
