Douglas M. Moreland has been named president...

Douglas M. Moreland has been named president of Parkside Center Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mobil Land Development Corp., Ontario. Moreland will be responsible for the development of 8 million square feet of commercial, office and retail space.

Steven J. Palmer has been appointed vice president and director of marketing for the $160- million, 153-acre Tri City Corporate Centre, currently under development in San Bernardino. He had been a vice president of Dunn Properties Corp., Santa Ana.

Brad Cox has been named marketing director of the 110-acre Los Angeles Corporate Center being developed near downtown Los Angeles by Ellis Sloan Burnett Properties, Santa Ana. Cox previously served as marketing director for Bren Investment Properties.

Donald J. Watts has been appointed vice president and regional manager for the Los Angeles office of the Federal Asset Disposition Assn., with responsibility for California, Hawaii, Arizona and Nevada. Watts was senior vice president/real estate finance for Crocker Bank.

Dale Morris has been named western regional sales manager of Burbank-based World Title Co.

Three members of the Southeast Board of Realtors have received CRB certificates designating them as certified real estate broker managers. They are Betty Norris, Bob Compton Realty Co., South Gate; Delores Smith, Delores Smith & Associates, Bell, and C. Russell Cogar, Western Realty, Bell.

Roxanne Navrides has joined Ronald Levine Construction & Investment Corp., Beverly Hills, as director of purchasing.

Mr. and Mrs. James F. Porter have been appointed to a three-year term on the board of directors of the Friends of Fine Arts for the USC School of Fine Arts and Architecture. Porter is co-founder of the Los Angeles-based Altoon & Porter architectural firm, his wife is a jewelry artist and designer.

Tak Fujii has been promoted to senior vice president/direct development division GLENFED Development Corp., a building subsidiary of Glendale Federal Savings, and Michael Slater to senior vice president/joint venture building activities. Louise Rice-Lawson, formerly with the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California, has joined GLENFED as assistant vice president for planning.

Douglas C. Swinehart has been appointed a vice president and manager of the San Diego office of the Alison Co., 51-year-old property management and financial services firm.

J. Anne Holman, John T. Lyle and Robert C. Perry, professors in Cal Poly Pomona’s department of landscape architecture, conducted a four-day seminar in Milan, Italy, on planning and land use as part of an international conference attended by more than 200 city planners and architects from northern Italy.

Jain Malkin, president of Jain Malkin Inc., La Jolla, has returned from Harvard University where she taught a weeklong program in medical space planning in the School of Architecture.

F. William Burger Jr. has joined the San Diego architectural firm of Salerno/Livingston & Partners as a project architect, and Lynn A. Larsen has joined the firm as a project manager.

Karen A. Simons has been promoted to vice president and director of appraisal for the Los Angeles office of Landauer Associates Inc.

Betty L. Myer, vice president of marketing for C/L Builders-Developers Inc., Upland, has earned her professional designation as a member of the Institute of Residential Marketing (MIRM) from the National Assn. of Home Builders.

Barbara Stewart, chief executive officer of B. J. Stewart Advertising and Public Relations Inc., Newport Beach, has been named to the management team for the Multi-Housing West conference to be held held Dec. 13-15 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

William Fulton, Los Angeles journalist and urban planner, has received a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to investigate the relationship between urban design and city revenues. Fulton serves as chairman of the West Hollywood Planning Commission.

William A. Feathers, president of Feathers Consulting Services, has been elected a member of the executive committee and treasurer of USC’s Friends of the School of Fine Arts.
