Minor Earthquake Does No Damage
A minor earthquake shook the San Diego area Thursday evening, but no damage or injuries were reported, authorities said.
The temblor measured 2.8 on the Richter scale and hit at 5:35 p.m., said Dennis Meredith of the Caltech Seismology Laboratory in Pasadena.
It was centered about two miles south of downtown San Diego, he said.
Police said that they received numerous telephone calls but that no damage was reported.
