Garden Grove : Stabbing Victim Found in Street by Motorist

The body of a woman who had previous arrests on prostitution charges was found early Saturday morning lying in a street, police reported.
The woman, identified as Kiva Marie Bible of Garden Grove, had been fatally stabbed several times in her chest. Saturday would have been her 28th birthday, police said.
A passing motorist found her body at 2:13 a.m. lying in Stanford Avenue, near the intersection of Lucille Street, officers said. The car driver notified police, who found the woman dead at the scene. She had been stabbed several times, officers said.
Police Sgt. Larry Hodges said a preliminary investigation indicated that she had been stabbed elsewhere and her body dumped in the street.
Because of the woman’s prostitution-related background, Garden Grove officers alerted Los Angeles police. For the past year, Los Angeles police have sought a slayer of prostitutes in the southeast part of that city. Garden Grove officers, however, said that as of late Saturday night no immediate link had been found between the slaying of the Garden Grove woman and the prostitutes in Los Angeles.
