John Stallworth, one of just three remaining veterans from the Pittsburgh Steelers’ four Super Bowl championship teams, will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery later this week and will be out indefinitely.
How long Stallworth, 34, is sidelined will depend on the extent of the ligament injury in his left knee, Steeler spokesman Dan Edwards said afterward. Stallworth was hurt early in the first quarter of the Steelers’ 22-16 overtime victory over the Oilers last Sunday in Houston.
