Hawthorne : Special Trash Collection

Old refrigerators, water heaters and ovens, as well as other large items of refuse will be collected in single-family neighborhoods Oct. 13 through Oct. 17 on regular trash days.
A spokeswoman for H & C Disposal, Hawthorne’s residential refuse contractor, said the items should be placed on the curb no sooner than the night before the regular service day.
Handicapped and elderly residents may receive assistance by calling the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce Civic Activities Committee at 676-1163. For further information on the collection of large refuse items call H & C Disposal at 675-3331.
