Vince DiMaggio Dies at 74
Vince DiMaggio, 74, the oldest of baseball’s DiMaggio brothers, died today at his home in North Hollywood. He had been suffering with stomach cancer in recent months.
DiMaggio, whose brothers Joe and Dom had long careers with the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, respectively, played 10 seasons in the National League as an outfielder with the Boston Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies and New York Giants.
