THE DREYFUSS FUND

The ink’s dry: Richard Dreyfuss will play a “trigamist” when cameras roll in NYC--maybe in March--on director Paul Mazursky’s “Enemies--A Love Story,” adapted from the Isaac Bashevis Singer novel.

Dreyfuss agent Peter Rawley said that his star will play a Holocaust survivor living in Brooklyn with his Polish peasant wife, whom he married in gratitude for hiding him after the Nazis murdered his wife and children. When the wife he thought dead appears--very much alive--a dark comedy of errors ensues.

Dreyfuss just wrapped “Tin Man” at Disney and starts “Nuts” with Barbra Streisand later this month.
