THE DISTRICT: Includes Arleta, Lake View Terrace, Mission Hills, North Hollywood, Pacoima, Panorama City, Reseda, San Fernando, Sepulveda, Sun Valley, Van Nuys and most of Sylmar and small portions of Encino, Granada Hills, Sherman Oaks, Tarzana and Northridge, including half of California State University, Northridge. Democratic voters outnumber Republicans by 56% to 35%. Includes a wide range of socio-economic groups, from low-income members of minority groups in Pacoima and San Fernando to blue-collar whites in Van Nuys and more affluent whites in Encino.
