Fatal Bus Collision Snarls Lincoln Tunnel
Associated Press
NORTH BERGEN, N.J. —
Two buses collided head-on today outside the Lincoln Tunnel, which links northern New Jersey and Manhattan, killing one person, injuring at least 18 others and snarling morning rush-hour traffic, police said.
The accident apparently occurred when a German tour bus bound from Manhattan to New Jersey took the wrong bus lane coming out of the tunnel, using one restricted to commuter buses heading into New York City.
