Tugboat Frees Cruise Ship That Ran Aground in Fog

WASHOUGAL, Wash. — The cruise ship Pacific Northwest Explorer, carrying 100 passengers and crew members, ran aground in dense fog on the Columbia River before dawn Friday but was later freed by a tugboat, a Coast Guard spokesman said. No injuries were reported.
