The publications director of student media at UCLA, which consists of eight publications, including the Daily Bruin, and a radio station, said he will resign in December.
Richard Sublette, who submitted his resignation Sept. 18 but did not announce it until last week, has served as the director of the $1.88-million program since 1981. Previously he was the publisher of the Daily Illini, a University of Illinois student publication, for 11 years.
Sublette, who declined to explain why he resigned, said he is unsure of his immediate career plans. A search committee to select his replacement is being formed.
