A fuel tanker truck plunged into the Sacramento River after colliding with a car on California 160, killing the driver of the car and dumping at least 600 gallons of a petroleum byproduct into the river, authorities reported. The driver of the car, John Guzzo, 29, of Orinda, was dead at the scene, and the truck driver, Duewy Stanton, 45, of Modesto, was hospitalized in good condition with a shoulder injury.
