Dana Point Cityhood Discussion Tonight
A public meeting is scheduled for tonight to discuss the possibility of creating a city in the Dana Point area.
The status of a feasibility study on incorporation and progress of a fund-raising effort aimed at that goal will be discussed at the meeting, said Patti Short, a member of the residents group leading the incorporation drive.
The group, called Dana Point Citizens for Incorporation, has hired Harry Weinroth, who recently left his job as community development director for San Clemente, as a consultant, Short said.
The meeting, at the Dana Niguel branch library on Niguel Road, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
