A formal charter ceremony commemorating the joining of two congregations will be held at the newly formed Church of the Foothills, United Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ at 9 a.m. Sunday at 19211 Dodge Ave., Santa Ana. The Congregational Church of the Foothills of North Tustin and the Camile Christian Church of Santa Ana joined in June, but will formally charter their new church on Sunday. Services will be led by the Rev. Ronald Meyer, minister of the new congregation. The festivities will continue into the afternoon, following church services, with a picnic and square dance from 3 to 8 p.m. The public is invited. For more information, call (714) 544-1319.
