An Iowa Supreme Court justice blocked a judge’s order, temporarily allowing linebacker Jeff Braswell to return to the Iowa State football team.
The National Collegiate Athletic Assn. had declared Braswell ineligible because of rules violations that allegedly occurred while he was being recruited two years ago.
Iowa Supreme Court Justice David Harris agreed to block the temporary order, and he set a hearing for next Tuesday to listen to further arguments on continuing the stay.
