Four county buildings were evacuated Monday afternoon after a series of bomb threats, San Diego police reported.
At 12:14 p.m., a man called the Department of Health Services at 3851 Rosecrans Blvd., claiming that a bomb was set to go off at any time, police spokesman Bill Robinson said.
Within the next 12 minutes, similar calls were received at the County Administration Center at 1600 Pacific Highway, the County Courthouse at 220 W. Broadway and the Department of Social Services’ Logan Heights district office at 2509 Imperial Ave., Robinson said.
Investigators from the Metro Arson Strike Team searched each building, but no bombs were found and the buildings reopened within an hour, Robinson said. The caller gave no motive for the bomb threats, which are being investigated by arson detectives, Robinson said.
