UCLA gymnast Brian Ginsberg, an All-American who finished second in the 1986 National Collegiate Athletic Assn. all-around competition and tied for first in the floor exercise, has left school to train with former Olympian Kurt Thomas. UCLA Coach Art Shurlock said that Ginsberg had decided to skip collegiate competition to concentrate on the 1988 Olympics in Seoul.
