Golf Roundup : Graham, Shearer Share Lead
Australians David Graham and Bob Shearer shared the lead at the halfway mark of the South Australian Open golf tournament Thursday at Adelaide, Australia.
Graham, now based in Texas, and Shearer shot three-under-par 69s and were tied at 141 after 36 holes.
Australian Greg Norman had a 68 to move into a tie for third place, two shots off the lead.
Bob Lewis Jr. shot a one-under-par 69, and Jay Sigel had a 70 to help the United States maintain a four-stroke lead over Canada after two rounds of the World Amateur Team tournament at Caracas, Venezuela.
Morning fog and afternoon rain postponed the opening round of the $1-million Vantage tournament at San Antonio, Tex. Officials said the round will be made up Sunday, when 36 holes will be played.
