Somehow, Mauch Manages to Lose Pennant
Gene Mauch should be commended for leading a group of over-the-hill superstars and raw youngsters to an excellent season. As a symbol of appreciation, the Angels should rehire Mauch for next season. And fire him right before the playoffs begin.
