HOTHOUSE HUSBANDS

Jackie Collins is panting to take the sex out of her just-out book, “Hollywood Husbands,” and put it where the public wants it . . . on the screen.

She’s refusing to sell “Husbands” for a miniseries or feature film unless she’s exec producer. “I want to make the movie hot and show Hollywood in the ‘80s. I want it to be a lighthearted, cynical view that reveals the humor and sexual heat people use in doing business here,” Collins told us.

Collins’ feels her dream cast would assure the heat:

“I see Don Johnson as the TV talk show host Jack Python. Don’s very sexy and projects the right combination of brains and brawn. Mel Brooks would be a perfect Howard Soloman, who’s the coke-snorting four-times-wed studio head. Brooks has the right manic energy for the role. Tom Selleck is Mannon Cable to me. People would believe him as a sexy superstar actor who has the macho strength women love and who wants to be taken seriously. Bruce Willis connects as Wes Money, the broke bartender who’s great in the sack.

“Either my sister Joan, Faye Dunaway or Liz Taylor have the beauty and survival instincts necessary to play Silver Anderson, the daytime TV soap star who’s making a comeback.

“For the rock star Heaven, it has to be Madonna. She projects a little-girl lust like Marilyn Monroe. And besides, we know she’ll do nude scenes.”
