One spectator was killed, 10 others were arrested and fighting broke out among the players during a soccer match between league-leader PAOK and Larissa in Athens, Greece.
Before the match at Larissa’s Alkazar Stadium, Haralambas Blionas, a 29-year-old teacher from Athens, died after he was hit by a flare fired from within a group of PAOK supporters.
The final three minutes of the match were marred by fights among the players before Larissa won, 2-1.
