California Lottery officials said there will be more small prizes in the scratch-off ticket game that begins Friday. Lottery director Mark Michalko said that in “California Cash,” scratch-off tickets will show five coin symbols. If they add up to more than a dollar, it’s a winner. Scraping the spot that says “Prize” will reveal how much the player has won: $2, $5, $10, $50, $100, $1,000, $5,000, or $75,000. Prizes of $10 and less can be claimed at the lottery outlet, while larger prizes are paid by lottery headquarters in Sacramento. Finding the word “Entry” in the prize spot can qualify the player for the “Big Spin” drawing, in which participants will be able to win up to $3 million or more.
