Sockers Rally to Beat Chicago, 7-4
The Sockers fought back from a 3-1 deficit Tuesday night to defeat the Chicago Sting, 7-4, in an exhibition match in Cincinnati’s Riverfront Coliseum.
The Sockers’ Branko Segota tied the score, 3-3, with 3:33 remaining in the third period. The Sockers scored four times in the fourth period, including the game-winner by defender Waad Hirmez with 9:35 remaining.
Socker midfielder Raffaele Ruotolo scored his third goal in two nights.
The match was played in front of 6,708, the largest crowd ever to see indoor soccer in Cincinnati.
The Sockers (1-1) play Wichita Saturday at Denver.
