Costs associated with consolidating operations in the electronics business and the relocation of Ducommun’s corporate staff from Los Angeles to Cypress, Calif., plus a traditionally slow period in the electronics-distribution industry, contributed to the firm’s loss per share for the third quarter of 1986. The company’s aerospace services group’s operating profit was significantly lower than 1985 levels in the third quarter, and electronic-distribution profitability continued to suffer, a spokesman said.
