The World : Colombian Judge Slain

Share

A Colombian Supreme Court judge, whose predecessor was assassinated, was fatally shot by unknown gunmen, authorities said. Gustavo Zuluaga Serna was riding in a car in Medellin, Colombia’s second largest city, when he was attacked. Authorities said no one immediately claimed responsibility. He is the second Supreme Court judge killed this year and at least the 15th in two years. Twelve jurists died last November when members of the M-19 guerrilla movement stormed the Palace of Justice in Bogota. Zuluaga Serna assumed the judgeship after Judge Alvaro Medina Ochoa was slain in an ambush in Medellin last year.
