A Carlsbad woman who allegedly defrauded clients out of $5 million in a luxury car selling scheme has been indicted by a federal grand jury on 62 counts of fraud and income tax evasion. Diana Devereaux, 43, pleaded innocent to charges that she took money but never delivered 185 new cars that she had promised clients would cost $10,000 below market price. During the three-year scheme, Devereaux allegedly collected $28 million from nearly 1,000 clients, mostly in Southern California. She was released on $100,000 bail.
