A gang member was shot to death at a bus stop in Montecito Heights, Los Angeles police said. Anthony J. Rodriguez, 19, was shot several times, including once in the heart, on Marmion Way near Avenue 45, Sgt. Larry Mazur said. Rodriguez was apparently alone at the bus-stop bench when a car approached and briefly stopped, he said. “Words were exchanged and several shots were fired,” Mazur said. Rodriguez collapsed and died as the car sped away.
