Redondo Beach : Development Restricted
By a unanimous vote, the City Council tightened development standards in residential zones designated R-3. The ordinance lowers density by limiting projects to no more than two contiguous lots with a total of six units. Previously, up to seven units on two contiguous lots were allowed and more than two lots could be combined.
In addition, the ordinance requires a guest parking space for two- and three-unit projects on lots larger than 6,500 square feet. Two guest spaces will be required for projects with four to six units.
