Norwalk : Executive Search Extended

The Cerritos College Board of Trustees has extended the deadline for hiring a vice president of instructional services to Dec. 31.
There are 82 applicants for the job. The position has been vacant since July 3, after an applicant accepted the job then changed his mind. The deadline had been Oct. 31.
The board, which is also searching for a new president for the 18,000-student campus in Norwalk, would like to have the president selected before the vice president position is filled, said Mark Wallace, public information officer.
The board has received 32 applicantions for the president’s position. The deadline for those applications was last month.
College President Wilford Michael has announced his retirement effective at the end of the year.
