A Century City doctor pleaded guilty to charges that he illegally dispensed prescription drugs. Dr. Leonard Breslaw, 61, admitted to 10 charges in a 120-count federal indictment accusing him of providing illegal prescriptions for drugs, including Valium, Dilaudid, Percodan and two drugs commonly combined by street users, codeine and Doridan. The indictment was handed down by a grand jury in April. Assistant U.S. Atty. Joyce Karlin said Breslaw will face up to five years in prison and a $15,000 fine on each of the 10 charges when he returns for sentencing Dec. 15 before U.S. District Judge Terry Hatter. Breslaw has remained free on unsecured $100,000 bail, Karlin said. Breslaw’s offices in Century City, Hollywood and South Los Angeles were searched earlier this year by investigators with Operation Rx, a joint probe of illegal prescription drug sales by state and federal agencies.
