Culver City : Surplus Vehicles to Be Sold

Share

Culver City has decided to put 11 city-owned vans, pickup trucks and sedans on the auction block.

The vehicles are considered surplus and will be sold by the Ken Porter Auction Co. of Los Angeles. City staff members estimated that the vehicles are worth about $13,000. Porter, however, will receive 10% of the sale proceeds and the city will be charged $30 per vehicle to move them to the auction site.

The cars range in price from $2,275 for a 1981 Chevrolet Malibu sedan to $50 for a wrecked 1984 Chevrolet Impala police patrol car. Prospective buyers may contact the city purchasing officer.
