Foundation to Honor Johnny Grant
Johnny Grant, Emmy award-winning vice president of public affairs and special projects at KTLA-TV and honorary mayor of Hollywood, will be honored by the San Fernando Valley unit of the Arthritis Foundation at a “Tribute to Johnny” dinner Feb. 20 at the Sheraton Premiere hotel.
A foundation spokesman said Grant has helped raise millions of dollars for the foundation’s Southern California chapter over the past 33 years. He helped launch the foundation’s first “Stop Arthritis” telethon in 1956 and was producer and co-host for 20 years. He served for many years on the foundation’s board of governors.
Proceeds will go toward patient programs and research of the Arthritis Foundation.
