General Dynamics, St. Louis, named Herbert F. Rogers as executive vice president-aerospace and elected him to the board of directors effective January, 1987. Additionally, Frederick C. Wood has been promoted to the position of executive vice president-contracts, pricing and international offset.

Rogers, who has been a corporate vice president and general manager of the company’s Fort Worth division since 1981, will succeed the retiring Richard E. Adams.
