‘North American Series’ Is Also a Misnomer

I wholeheartedly agree with Ken Walker’s criticism of the misnomer World Series (Viewpoint, Nov. 8) except for the following:

(1) “North America Series” is not apropos since Mexico is in North America.

(2) He failed to include a most outstanding team of a very baseball-crazed country (it was taught by U.S. Marines in our occupations of the ‘20s and ‘30s)--the Nicaraguan national team.
