United Education owns trade and technical schools, including a number using the Pacific Coast name, and runs correspondence courses. It also sells computer equipment for school administration and classroom use, and provides student loan administration.

Company President Aaron Cohen said sales were boosted partly by the company’s acquisition of National Technical Schools last year. United Education also benefited from tax benefits stemming from previous losses.
