Community College Basketball : Sammon Gets 21 as Cypress Wins

Jim Sammon scored 21 points to lead the Cypress College basketball team to a 79-69 win over Azusa Pacific’s junior varsity in the season opener Tuesday night for the Chargers at Cypress.

Sammon, a freshman guard from El Dorado High School, made 9 of 13 shots from the field, and had 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Jeff Green added 12 points for the Chargers.
